Privacy
Useful measurement, minimal data.
SpotFuel collects only what is needed to run the leaderboard, process fuel purchases, prevent abuse, and count outbound traffic honestly.
Campaign data
Submitted campaign names, taglines, destination URLs, fuel balances, categories, and aggregate performance are public by design.
Payments
Stripe hosts checkout and handles card information. SpotFuel does not receive or store card numbers. We retain provider references, purchase amounts, and payment status for fulfilment and accounting.
Exposure measurement
A salted one-way hash of the visitor IP address and an hourly bucket deduplicate qualified board views after the board enters the browser viewport. Known automated user agents and very low Cloudflare bot scores are excluded when those signals are available. Plain IP addresses are not stored by the application, and raw deduplication rows are removed after approximately 25 hours.
Click measurement
Outbound clicks use a separate salted visitor hash and hourly bucket. Live Fuel attribution has its own deduplication log so public CTR does not mix report traffic with sponsored exposure. Raw click rows are removed after 24 hours; aggregate campaign counters remain public.
Requests
To request correction or deletion of eligible data, contact the operator through the project repository. Never include payment or identity secrets in a public issue.
